The music we play are songs that everybody recognizes and loves to sing along with and dance to! ...Oldies, country, folk, gospel, bluegrass, originals, and more.

Kim Maul leads this talented trio of ladies,

The Sunshine String Band started back with Kim Maul and her husband Grant and their own two boys, Robert and Tyler. Kim’s husband Grant on stand up bass, her son Robert on the banjo and her son,Tyler on the mandolin are the original band.

Kim’s son’s eventually went off to college and went their own ways.

Kelly ran into Kim and Grant at an open-mic 21 years ago and they have been playing music together ever since. Grant retired from the group 3 years ago. Denise Moore, Kim's sister, joined in to make this a dynamic trio of all ladies! Denise brings her own bass guitar and her beautiful lead and harmony vocals, taking everything to a whole other level.

These ladies have been all over the state of Michigan together for the past three years. They have been regularly performing venues, like the Harbor Springs Street Musique, Boyne City Stroll The Streets (Twenty year Anniversary), Torch Lake cafe’, Cranberries of Goodrich, Music in the parks, festivals, celebrations of life memorials, anniversary parties and wherever else they’ll have us play
